Hammerwich Parish Council are sorry to inform residents and the public that Cllr Vance Wasdell, the Chair of the Council, has resigned from the role of Chair at the Parish Council. He will remain in the position until a new Chair is appointed by the Council. He will also continue to serve in his role as a Parish Councillor until the election in May 2023.
“After much consideration I have decided not to stand for re-election in May, my age 78 being the main factor. Having made that decision, I feel it’s best to step down as Chairman now so as to give my successor a reasonable chance to get established before the election.”
“I will therefore relinquish office on his/her election at the February meeting on the 15th.
I would like to thank you, previous staff and all others who have supported and helped me during my time in office.”
Cllr Vance Wasdell, Chairman Hammerwich Parish Council

Election of new Chair will take place at the February Parish Council meeting on 15 February 2023 (Wednesday).
